Yesterday night was the Guyer High School vs Denison High School baseball game at Wildcat Field in Denton, Texas. The game wasn't too exciting but I did get some interesting frames. Baseball is one of those sports that present a challenge in creating a unique image. There are a lot of cliché angles to shoot from; the challenge is making an image nobody has seen before. A lot of the time this is hard due to the fact that shooting positions are limited, especially in high school stadiums. College and Pro stadiums give you a lot more options as far as locations to shoot from are concerned. This particular image is not unique, but I liked the expression on the face of the second baseman as he attempted to tag out the runner.
This next month I have a lot of wedding assignments so I will be posting images from each of those for your enjoyment. I will be in Detroit one of those weekends. I love shooting in locations I am not familiar with. Something about it opens my eyes a lot more. I seem to make better images when I travel for an assignment. So I am looking forward to that wedding.
