This past weekend was the 13th Annual Redbud Festival in Denton Texas. This has been my second year covering this event and marks my one-year anniversary freelancing for the Denton Record-Chronicle. Although I shoot mostly sports assignments I particularly enjoy any news assignment I am given. This particular event is one of many annual festivals held here in Denton.

The Redbud Festival includes a 5k run, an Arbor Day Home and Garden Show a Kids Fun Zone and many vendor booths. The day also celebrates Denton as The Redbud Capital of Texas.
